We’re making some updates!

Effective September 1, 2024

We are excited to share some significant updates in our ongoing efforts to enhance the member experience at Mountain Health Co-Op.

Starting September 1, 2024, we will be changing to Healthplan Services as our third-party administrator (“TPA”).    Healthplan Services is a leader in claims processing.

These changes will significantly enhance the experience for our members and partners. Your role as a broker is crucial in communicating these updates to your clients, and we are here to support you through this transition.

This change will not affect our Medicare Supplement members.  Additionally, our provider network will remain the same. Hopefully, the member portal will ensure that information about our in-network providers  will be easier to access.

Keep an eye out for additional emails from us with more information and training sessions to ensure we are providing you with what you need for your clients. If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our Sales Team.

New Member Portal
We are launching a new, user-friendly member portal designed to offer a seamless and intuitive experience. Members will have easy access to their plan information, claims status, and a variety of self-service tools to manage their healthcare needs effectively.

New Member IDs
Members will receive new ID cards in Mid-August. As our members’ trusted partner and resource, please communicate to your Co-Op members the need to update their billing information with their healthcare providers.  

 

Enhanced Claims Processing
We are committed to reducing turnaround times and improving the overall efficiency of our claims management system and will be adding advanced capabilities to our claims processing this Fall. 

 

Enhanced Broker Portal
Our Broker will stay the same as it is now. However, we continue to push out updates thanks to your feedback, leading to a better all-around system.

What you need to know

Yes, we are mailing members new ID cards in August.  Please let your clients know to present their new cards to their providers so they can update the billing information on record.   

No –  Member ID numbers and pharmacy information is not changing, which will make it easy for members to continue having their prescriptions filled without issue. 

No – Online Insight will remain our portal provider for agents.

A member portal should be a secure, one-stop shop for all client’s needs. On September 1, we’re launching a new and improved portal that’s easy to navigate and gives all our members secure access to their health insurance information. Inside the new portal, they can…

  • Download a digital Member ID card,
  • Order replacement Member ID cards,
  • Securely message the Member Service team,
  • View claims and see how much has been paid paid toward their deductible,
  • Estimate cost of care,
  • Track their doctors,
  • View their plan summary,
  • And more!

Registration and login information will be available by September 1.

No – the TPA for our Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans is not changing.  Please continue to contact UFLIC for services affiliated with Medicare Supplement insurance plans.
