Critical Update for Wyoming Agents — All Plans Terminate December 31, 2025
What you need to know about our Wyoming Departure
Mountain Health Co-Op (Co-Op) has made the difficult decision to adjust its market presence and will no longer offer plans in Wyoming. All Co-Op individual, group and Medicare Supplement coverage will terminate on December 31, 2025. This move reflects a broader strategy to focus resources where the Co-Op can have the greatest impact and maintain long-term sustainability, while continuing to serve members in Montana and Idaho. Like many carriers across the country, we are navigating evolving market dynamics and rising health care costs, which influence how we deliver coverage and support to our communities. This letter provides details on our member and provider communication plan and the resources available to you and your clients.Â
How will Members and Providers be Notified?
We recognize your important role as advisor to our members as they navigate the health care system and provide coverage for their families and employees.
- Members: On August 13, 2025, all Wyoming members will receive notifications via postal mail, email, and text informing them that their Co-Op coverage will end on December 31, 2025. A sample of these notices is attached. We will refer members to our dedicated web page at mountainhealth.coop/wyoming-members, which will provide resources, FAQs, and contact information. A follow-up postcard will be sent later to remind members of key deadlines and express our gratitude for choosing us.
- Providers: Also on August 13, 2025, Wyoming providers will receive postal mail and email notifications informing them that Co-Op benefits will end on December 31, 2025. Providers will be contracted through Aetna starting January 1, 2026, if they choose to remain in-network for our Montana and Idaho members. All valid claims will be honored for one year following the date of service. A provider-specific web page at mountainhealth.coop/wyoming-providers will include resources and contact information for providers.
